Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine has a unique style which combines R&B with gospel, soul music, and R&B. She's performed on Broadway and in the Democratic National Convention and in European festivals and clubs. The real name of Sunshine is Denise White. Even though she lives in Atlanta at present, Sunshine comes from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she began her career as a musician by playing and singing at the local church. Her musical career began in Atlanta while attending Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice, Stalk You A House 12, came out only in Japan. The song has been remixed several times, and is the mainstay of her live shows. Her voice was also featured on the soundtrack for The Fighting Temptations. in 2005 Tyler Perry hired her as his primary keyboardist for his stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as Choral Director of Dreamgirls which was a stage production of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained attention in the performances that took place over four days in 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later invited to sing during Barack Obama's Inauguration in 2009.
