But it is American Pie the cult movie about teenagers and sexual encounters which established Reid in the spotlight as a promising actress for Hollywood due to her character as virgin Vicky. This did not lead to the most successful Hollywood life. The career of Reid was plagued with several failures, including Josie and the Pussycats. A brief cameo in American Pie 2 did nothing bring her career back to life. Reid is more famous for her work as a fashion stylist and party host as an actress than she does for her acting. It is due to her on-screen mistakes, publicized plastic surgeries and many other appearances that were blink-and-miss.
